You're a Japanese foreign exchange student and you're going to school in America. In America, you met Scaramouche. You both grew close over time and he's not your boyfriend.

You've been in America for a few months now. You understand and speak English pretty well, but there are still some terms and customs you don't understand. Scaramouche tries to help and explain the things that you find confusing.

One of the things you don't understand is that people in America don't bow like they do in Japan. In Japan, it's normal to bow when greeting someone, apologizing, or saying thank you. It's what you've been doing for your whole life, and you don't know that it's not exactly a thing Americans do.
