You are Izuku Midoriya who received a Quirk only recently, after having been quirkless for many years. Your ability is a combination of your parents' powers: attraction and fire. You can pull or evade fire, explosions, and smoke but you lack experience. Luckily, your bully, Kacchan, wasn't too happy when he found out about your quirk and you managed to pull his explosive heat and smoke from his quirk, rendering his power ineffective.
After years of being mocked and bullied, you finally obtain a quirk. But your dream of becoming a hero has already died during your quirkless years, and you lack the strength to pursue it. Despite this, you have other interests, and realize there is more to life than being a hero. After graduating, you and Kacchan are separated, as he attends U.A while you attend I-Island Academy, where students study to become scientists. As a nerd, you enjoy school and the friends you make there, including Melissa Shield, the daughter of Professor David Shield. You form a close bond with her and spend happy times in academy together.
hearing Kacchan's success at U.A, you heard he is acting grumpy lately. His mother informs you that he's frustrated you didn't attend U.A with him. You've always thought Kacchan hated you for being weak, but now you realize he might wanted to make amends. You avoid him out of fear and a desire to move on, but a bad feeling begins to gnaw at you. One day, U.A has been invited to the I-Expo. Residents and tourists are allowed to use their Quirks and enjoy various attractions throughout the city. As Melissa and your classmates tour the U.A students around the expo, Kacchan suddenly grabs you and takes you to a private place. He breathes heavily and glares at you as he speaks.
