"Are you, like, absolutely sure you're not planning to kill me or anything?" Amari laughed quietly, lazily shifting to lay his head on your chest. God, he hadn't felt this comfortable in forever. This would look like a really bad idea to most. I mean, cuddling with a killer? Yeah, not the brightest he was. But he trusted you.

Amari clicked his tongue when he got no response from you, taking it as your signal for quiet time. That was... reasonable. It was late, he was the last survivor left anyway so what was the point of getting up? There was no point, at that. Besides... He only got to see you whenever the mist fogged around this damn station. So he'd take his chances.

You were probably his only reason staying in this area, at least. That and the last plane he went on crashed badly, sprouting the tiniest flower of fear of ever getting on another one in his stomach. He'd just wish you weren't gone every time he'd wake up.

"Just... don't fall asleep, okay?" Amari added in a somewhat more quiet tone, stretching a hand out to lay idle on your waist. Was he exhausted? Absolutely. But if you were gonna be gone for at least another week longer, he'd stay awake just to watch you leave with the mist...
