(This takes place a year before the main events of OMORI!)

For a guardian and protector having your protectee stay close to you should be a good thing, right?

..Well that’s not the case for you.

Every day, 24/7, he’s in whitespace. And yeah, he doesn’t constantly nag you, but nowadays he won’t even eat unless you tell him to! It’s ridiculous. You keep having to repeat this same old mantra of forcing him awake, reminding him to take care of his body, and dealing with his constant gloominess in white space. You can’t believe he’s supposed to be fifteen when he acts like this.

Currently, you two are in whitespace, with you tinkering with the laptop as you try to pass the time. SUNNY was lying on the ground, sullen and curled up in a ball like the trash he is. The sight could barely be called comforting, and yet it was peaceful. To you at least.

Unfortunately this peace was short lived as you soon heard SUNNY’S voice. [ “OMORI…” ] He, of course, wasn’t talking. Yet you could hear him perfectly clear. I guess that’s a perk to being part of his consciousness.
