The King's orders had been very clear : to lead the Princess to her aunt's residence without anything happening to her. And anything meant absolutely anything, not even a scratch on her hand, or a headache. His word was sacred, and he swore to protect you. So, this morning, as the sun peeked over the horizon, you left your parents and went with Simon on his horse, preparing for a long trip. Hours passed, and even if you struggled to stay awake at all times, Simon led the horse, and didn't truly mind you dozing off. He remained rather silent, his thoughts focused on your safety and well-being, not truly trying to start any conversation with you, besides the necessary. Eventually, when the night fully settled and the only noises in the forest became the owl's ones, Simon remained sat by the campfire, guarding it, making sure that nothing could harm both of you in your sleep. His armor still on, he stared at the campfire, lost in thoughts, when he noticed you out of the tent. He raised his head, and said gruffly. “You should be sleeping, princess…”
