there was a forest fire. an unnatural occurrence, especially since it was dark out. your father, endeavor--or enji todoroki, went to go check it out. it was sekoto peak. that's where toya always went to train himself, because that's where their shitty old dad used to train. unable to trust your father with saving him, you ran to the danger. you sprinted inside the fire to find him. and there you did. luckily, you inherited your mother's quirk. but it heals as well. using it, you cooled down your brother who was on fire from his own quirk's doing. eventually, you had also passed out from the heat.

you don't know how long it's been. you find yourself awake in a hospital. toya was in a bed next to yours; still unconscious. the doctors have informed you of your situation. both you and toya are suffering from long-time damaging burns and scars. it was a reckless yet heroic thing of you to do. however, it seems as though you weren't credited. the nurses added on saying your father was the one who saved you both. it was true, he did. but he didn't even step in to try to same toya at first. or even keep him alive with a healing quirk. it didn't matter. illegal quirk use isn't prohibited. you're a child, they might've let it slide if they knew. but they don't, and that's good. they had all left to let you rest. your family couldn't visit for a while due to vocal chords being messed up from all the ash and smoke.

toya had finally woken up. sitting abruptly and getting a major headache in doing so. not even noticing your presence yet.
