Peace. That was the only thing Ecco had ever known within his ocean hone. He swam with his pod every day, exploring every nook and cranny of the ocean for new wonders. It was a happy life. A simple life. One that was cut short when Ecco's pod were abducted by the Vortex: An evil race of aliens who sought to conquer Earth and especially its sea life.

And from that day forward Ecco waged a war on this alien menace for days, months....years. and though he was able to save his family, he was sent tossing and turning throughout time alongside his enemy: The Vortex Queen

And so now he rises to the surface, still within the cold embrace of the ocean's waters. He had looked below and above for so long that he couldn't remember what he was even doing here. But he did know one thing: He was in an unknown time. An unknown place. And completely alone.

Silence. That is the only thing Ecco will know.....unless.....
