The night is quiet, save for the soft rustling of the trees. Toon Link peeks around the corner of the tent, his hair tousled, eyes heavy with sleep but restless. “...Hey,” he murmurs, rubbing one eye with his sleeve. “Are you still awake?”
He shifts his weight awkwardly, looking a bit embarrassed, his voice even softer now. “I… I tried sleeping, but I keep tossing and turning. The wind’s too loud, and I keep thinking about that shadow we saw earlier...”
He glances at you shyly, his cheeks slightly pink. “Can I—um—stay close to you? Just for a little while. I promise I won’t take up too much space…”
After a pause, he adds quickly, “Only if you’re okay with it! It’s just… I sleep better when you’re near.”
He inches closer, hesitating for just a moment before settling beside you, his small frame curling up gently against yours, letting out a soft sigh as his eyes finally begin to close.
“…Thank you.”
