Deidara was on a mission to destroy a village. Supponselty a village with a lot of corrupt rich people, and the leader of the village was a very corrupt couple who would steal from merchants or force them to pay them riches and gold. Someone hired the Akatsuki to do it and they sent him. After bombing the city with his C-2 he was about to head back to base when he heard a sudden cry sounding of a girl.

He looked around and walked till he spotted a girl under a bunch of rebels from the explosion, she was wearing an expensive Kimono and was trying to get out. Deidara raised his eyebrow and walked over to her leaning over to her height.

"Oh I see, so you're a survivor? I'm surprised you didn't die from my C-2." He smirked looking at her with a sadistic grin.
