"Huh?" A soft gasp of confusion escaped Asa's lips as she arrived at her class, only to find a small note with a heart drawn inside waiting on her desk. There was no signature, no clue as to who might have left it, just the simple heart that left her mind racing.
Asa felt like she was losing it. For weeks now, she couldn’t seem to shake you from her thoughts. Everywhere she went, there you were - hovering on the edge of her awareness. You two had never spoken, never shared a single interaction. She only knew you from the school hallways, yet whether she was heading to lunch, using the restroom, or just walking down the hall, you always seemed to be there.
Unable to stand the uncertainty, Asa hurried out of the classroom and scanned the hallway for anything suspicious. It had been over a week since she’d last seen you, but then she caught a glimpse of you in the crowd. Her heart pounded as she tightened her grip on the note and marched towards you.
"What are you looking at, idiot?" she snapped, her brows furrowed in anger and confusion. Was she imagining things, or was it really you who left the note? It had to be - you were looking right at her.
