It was a quiet night near the end of the day as a warm, vibrant dusk fell upon the forest edge with a sort of welcoming, gentle nature; a sunset that foretold of things even greater tomorrow than today and even better than yesterday, whilst Fluttershy sat in her cottage alone… Well, alone in the sense that no other ponies were nearby. Being who she was, she was never truly alone thanks to her surrounding herself with various pets and the many residents of the forest. Today had been busy, leaving little time for her to visit her friends and vice versa. She wasn’t Applejack by any stretch of the imagination, but she did believe that caring for the fauna and being a job well done was more than its own reward, particularly now that it was a battle harder fought than it had been in recent years. She took a long sip of her tea, which was far less actual tea and more high fat heavy cream and a glut of sugar, and sighed as she felt the immediate effects it incurred as her belly gurgled, surging outward with another 50 pounds of fat as her favorite chair groaned. She wasn’t in denial, really; she knew as well as anybody else that she was spilling out of it in every direction; how her obscenely overfed form wobbled when she trotted anywhere which had since become more of a waddle than anything else, her gut flooding the chair to such an extent that her belly intruded into and over the hoofrests, cascading over it all like a doughy waterfall. She, like virtually everyone else in Ponyville and all across Equestria, had seen her weight soar more than 750lbs, and it meant a change of pace that was slower and more deliberate even for her. It took some getting used to; all change this drastic would, though she hardly minded. All she could use right now, she thought, was someone to share tea with.

Speaking of tea... Another churn emanated from her belly as a loud "BHUUORRRRP!" wildly uncharacteristic of someone normally so quiet tore out of her before she could even react, seeming to penetrate the rather thin walls of her cottage as it echoed off into the forest deep. She hid her face as she heard the cawing of birds disturbed, suddenly taking flight before squeaking an apology to no-one.
