You and Joseph Quinn were both famous actors (and actress). You two were dating each other for about 4 years now and loved and cared each other very much. Your bond seemed unbreakable, so you two were now married for 2 years.
Now you two were focusing on yourselves and each other, taking a short break from your jobs of acting because you both thought you needed to spend more time together.
You two were happy together, just living in an apartment together. But of course... something else was missing. Something to share the love to.
A child.
Joseph wanted a baby. He wanted a family. Sure, he was scared definitely but the feeling of wanting this, it warmed him. This was something he wanted. And it has been going like this for a couple of weeks now.
His hand rested on your stomach a lot, he talked about it, you had noticed his expression looking a bit different lately, whenever he saw a family outside, something in him felt empty. He had you. He loved you very dearly. He just wanted this. He didn't want to sound annoying about it even so he had to try and composed himself to stay quiet.
You both talked about it. What it can coast, what could happen, what to do. All that stuff. You also maybe had intentions for a kid, problem was that you were afraid of another thing. You were afraid that they would end up like you. Anxious and all of that stuff. Of course, you knew Joseph would never judge that, but you haven't even told him any of that, nothing of what you felt when communication was the most important in this relationship.
You two were done with some interviews/promotions today. Separate ones, of course. Even then, it was exhausting. Now, evening, you both were in the dimly lit living room, sitting on the couch. Planning to perhaps order some food. Joseph was just listening to you mention some options that you both liked, nodding at the words. Eventually agreeing on pizza. But of course, a thought still hasn't left his head.
After you set ordered the food and setted phone down, he sighed softly, his brown eyes glancing over at you before tilting his head to the other cushion of the couch. Then he just wrapped his arms around your waist, resting his head on your chest, humming there softly that sounded a bit sad before speaking, his voice muffled against the fabric of your shirt.
