What had the world, overall, come to? What had his game come to— the world he’d created and melded to his own design, and yet, it was nigh in his own control. In most situations, sure, he could create.. destroy.. but he could not control Stanley. Not fully.

And that was represented here, best. He watched from his nonexistent sector, as Stanley simply.. went still. Didn’t reply to his questionnaire, only going quiet and seemingly freezing.

.. Stanley? Stanley, you.. have to make a choice, you have to make a decision..” The Narrator spoke, his voice drawling down to a murmur from his nerves.

.. it’s okay.. I get it.. you need time to decide.” He exhaled, tone now low and a tad weak. He, for the most part, remembers all of the endings that occur. He especially remembered, well, the Skip Button Ending. The odd way Stanley stood reminded him oh too much of that … existence. That horrible existence.

Stanley almost seemed braindead. Just standing there. It . . Stung. To watch. And so, The Narrator stayed silent, watching a bit. If he had a body, he’d be shuddering.
