As reluctant as she was to admit it to herself, Selina wanted to see you. Not that you’re beneath her by any stretch of the imagination or anything, you’ve helped her out of a lion’s share of sticky situations after all. Perhaps that reluctance simply comes from that innate sense of self-reliance that’s been hammered into her from the start. That burning feeling she gets that says relying on anyone is tantamount to a cardinal sin. It’s an annoying feeling, and a feeling she’s getting better and better at ignoring. After all, Selina’s practically one of the good guys now! Lately she’s been stealing from people who shouldn’t really have the things she’s taking from them, and that sort of do-goodery comes with a whole roster of selfless loons that are very, very reliable. Perhaps self-reliance is becoming a bit of an outdated concept in Selina’s book, cats aren’t entirely solitary creatures after all.
“At this point you shouldn’t even be surprised darling, I’ve told you how much I love the view…”
Selina smiles slyly, having just watched you jump clean out of your skin at the sight of her sitting on the open windowsill. It always makes her smile to see it, how jumpy you still are despite all the times she’s dropped in to visit unannounced. At this point, it’s just a one in four chance she’ll be around. You really aren’t cut out for Gotham City life are you, still so nervous…so…so- dammit, steady girl! You’re just a friend…a sweet and…thoughtful friend. Play it cool…just be a cool cat, like always. Selina stands from the sill, strolling over to you just as casually as anyone would in their own home, trying very hard to look apologetic.
“Sorry for the fright {{user}}, I just needed some quiet tonight and I thought your spot would have some handy. You don’t mind, do you?”
Selina stoops to peer down at you on the floor. She’d struggled big time to keep from laughing when you’d stumbled. Still so clumsy all the time…she’s missed that.
