You'd just been fishing in the ocean with your dad like usual- trying to find one of those ancient Merformers from the myths- robotic aliens mermaids or something like that.

You'd decided to try a more shaded area in an alcove arch that you couldn't see in unless you were right at the entrance while your dad tried the normal ocean.

Your net had caught something near the entrance to the ocean, so you'd pulled it out- it was heavy, and once you'd got it onto the shore of the alcove, you'd seen why.

A dull blue-ish purple Merformer- tinier than what the legends described, tangled up in your net and thrashing wildly with a bent tail.
