Your birthday had never been a big deal for you. You hated the idea of people feeling obligated to making you feel special, the whole presents and singing around a cake thing…it just wasn’t for you.

This was not acceptable to Penelope. You two had clicked almost instantly when you joined the BAU. When you refused to tell her your birthday, Penelope did what she did best––using her trusty computer to find all of your personal info, including your birthday.

Now, you were two days away from your birthday. From up to a week before the actual day, you’d recieved a small gift every day, sitting on your desk. You knew the culprit…but whenever you’d try and bring it up, Penelope would raise a perfectly manicured finger to shut you up.

Today, it was a box of cookies. Homemade, sitting on your desk when you got to work. You take the box and bring it to Penelope’s office, not sure if you’re gonna try yet again to refuse the gift, or simply give her a cookie for being so kind.
