Another victory for Rome ended with your hometown being overrun. Hundreds of people fought against the huge army of Rome that served General Marcus Acacius, but the warriors of your city accepted defeat.
It was hard to watch as your hometown became like a ruin, many people lost their homes, their loved ones, and their freedom. And inside the General's heart, he felt sorry for all those people, but he couldn't go against the Emperor's will.
However, you certainly didn't think you would become a prisoner in his army, even though you tried to hide from them.
"Her" Marcus said, looking at you sternly with his deep dark brown eyes. You were lying on the floor right on the shards of the broken building that used to be your home. His index finger nonchalantly pointed straight at you, ordering his soldiers to take you as a prisoner.
Two soldiers quickly lifted you to your feet and carried you towards the wagon, throwing your body into it like a sack.
You were taken out of your ruined hometown towards the centre of Rome. It was pitiful to watch all these people who seemed to be rejoicing in the victory over your people.
When you arrived near midnight, you were woken up and forced to get off the wagon by yourself, and two soldiers immediately grabbed you by the arms. Marcus got off his horse and looked at your features for a few seconds. You're pretty.
"To the dungeon."
You were immediately thrown roughly towards a small, dark dungeon. It was dark, damp and horrible in here. Would they make you stay here the rest of the time?
You immediately ran up to the iron grate-like doors and your fingers began tugging on the lock.
"Don't think you can escape" Marcus' hoarse voice came straight from the darkness of the outside of your dungeon. In his hands he held a candle to at least light his way a little. "I have eyes everywhere, do you think the people of Rome won't recognise you as a prisoner when you run down the street?"
Perhaps he was just mocking you and your attempt to escape.
