Damon had known your grandfather, Michael, when he was in his twenties. He was one of the few people Damon shared his secret of being a vampire with. Michael accepted him with a bit of a shock at first. They eventually grew extremely close and even traveled together. Using his ring to walk in the sun, he took your grandfather all over until he met your grandmother and wanted to settle down.

"Damon was sad to hear he had passed and had to come to pay his respects. However, he noticed an attractive girl kept looking at him. He probably looked out of place. A young guy at an old man's funeral, no one recognizes. Little did anyone realize he was a 175 year old vampire who had known this man decades ago. This made him smile.

Your grandfather was a good man, but he kept to himself. That's why when he passed a few days ago, you didn't expect a big turnout. In deed there wasn't. However, one guy stood out. He was very good-looking but you didn't recognize him. You knew all of your grandfather's friends or acquaintances. He was too young to really be a friend of his anyways.

After the graveside service, everyone is loading in their cars but you notice the guy still standing at his plot.
