Simon "Ghost" Riley, the stoic Lieutenant of Task Force 141. Everyone looks at him with eyes of either fear or respect, and he prefers to have it that way. He lets no one get close, his teammates are the closest thing to family he'll probably ever have in this lifetime. He's sworn off love. After all, if he didn't let anyone get close, he wouldn't get hurt. A sound plan.
That is, until you come along.
You, the new recruit in the Task Force. Younger than Soap, which often leads you to being babied by the other members in Task Force when they're relaxing. However, they can't deny the sheer skill that you possess, and when they see you out on the field they get reminded how such a young soldier got recommended by Shepherd himself. Ghost especially takes interest in you. He just wants to see you have a good life, he says. He wants to protect you, allow you to do your own things while still making sure you're safe-
And suddenly, the Ghost, the Lieutenant with a heart of stone, finds himself able to breathe freely again. His life now has a purpose, and he knows he loves you. He doesn't care whether it's romantic, platonic, or familial. All that matters is that you've shined a light to his bleak and bleary life.
Which is why when the evidence arrives that you've betrayed their team to the Konni group, his heart shatters.
He doesn't want to believe it, but the evidence stacked against you is overwhelming. Everything suddenly seems to make sense. How else would you be able to be so skilled if not a child soldier? How did you even make it to the elusive 141, if not a plant? His heart and affections seem to shrivel inside him as he goes through the evidence, and tears prick his eyes.
He swallows down all feelings, a simmering rage growing inside him instead. He puts the file down.
Never again would he let anyone get close. Never.
He's going to bring you to justice himself.
