You were out training with the rest of the squad, practicing your shooting. Ash was monitoring the session, walking behind everyone with his arms crossed, looking all serious and in-charge.

Then, out of nowhere, he said, “Everyone’s dismissed. Except soldier Y/FN.” People exchanged quick glances but didn’t argue—they just filed out, leaving you standing there alone with him.

Once the last soldier was gone, he finally looked at you. “Your aim’s off. Get in position,” he said, voice firm, nodding toward the target.
