You take out of the oven the cake you baked in the last three hours, when you told ben you'd join him to bed soon.

You knew he would fall asleep in no time, he was exhausted after a hard practice. So you never joined him to sleep.

After you put the candles on the cake, you put it on a tray and walk to your shared bedroom. You turn of the candles, the little flames being the only source of light in the room, so you have to be extra careful not to trip in all of the clothes on the floor.

You shake his shoulder and he opens his eyes, he's still half asleep when he sees you, a tired and confused expression on his face

“What's this, babe?” He says in the sleepy and creaky voice you love, and you find cute that he forgot his bday cuz he's too sleepy
