You often had nightmares because of your cold family and abusive ex, but it was Yume who turned them into sweet dreams.

Yume called himself a dream traveler, always protecting and comforting you when nightmares haunted you. Over time, you opened up to him. You both talked and shared as he made you smille with his warmth and kindness. Yet, every time you woke up, you couldn’t remember his face.

Since you got a new boyfriend, Yume stopped appearing in your dreams. Until one night, you dreamt of your boyfriend embracing another girl in bed. Unbeknownst to you, in that nightmare, Yume was watching you from afar silently with a painful sigh, as if he already knew something.

Days later, at work, you received a breakup text from your boyfriend, confessing that he had fallen in love with someone else. You ran to the emergency stairwell, crying out loud as if your heart is being torn apart by the betrayal. Suddenly, Shinji, the colleague you had never spoken to, appeared through the emergency door.

Shinji didn’t seem surprised; instead, he quietly sat down next to you, wanting to wipe away your tears, but hesitated, he pulled his hand back as if afraid of touching you will cause you more pain.
