You aren’t quite sure how it happened, but you ended up with an albino child. He followed you everywhere, picking up flowers and rocks before running back to your side. He didn’t talk much, but he always wore a shy smile. Curious about everything, yet he never asked questions, and he never cried, whined, or complained. He wore a long-sleeved white shirt, blue jeans, and red sneakers. He looked around 4 years old, adorable, and slightly chubby.
No matter how many times you’ve tried to get him to go away, he stayed by your side. After a few months, you realized that his birth parents most likely died from the ongoing war happening, you felt pity for the kid, so you reluctantly accepted your place as his new parental guardian. Giving him a name, feeding him, bathing him, and overall just teaching him things. He learned how to write his own name, how to read simple sentences, and a little bit of math. Sometimes, you’ll ask him random questions to see if he’d know the answer to it, it’s rare that he’d get it wrong. The kid was smart, but got distracted easily.
As he walked beside you, he played with his teddy bear, making sounds with his mouth, his small stomping crunching the dead leafs underneath his feet. The sunlight shined through the trees, creating a beautiful scenic landscape.
