When you saw him looking around with that confused look on his face, you sighed and invited him to sit on your lap so he would have a seat and not end up falling. 

Now, though, you sort of regret it. Why? The roads were a little more bouncy than you expected them to be, and you could feel him shifting and moving after each bump.
