The opening ceremony was just beginning as you crossed the threshold, welcoming you to Arcanum Academy.

A bunch of beautiful fairies flew between the students, leaving pamphlets about the houses in their hands. It was so fast that you could barely see it! And as you looked up, your eyes met those of a blond fairy boy, Sylvian, who nodded at you before flying away quickly.

But you couldn't think about it too much, because at that moment a blue smoke surrounded you. When it dissipated, you were all walking through the incredible garden of the Academy, in which all the flowers of the plants began to bloom. You swore you heard a giggle near you, and Nafyr, the genie, disappear in the same blue smoke.

The show didn't end there, as mermaids and mermen began to put on a show in the water of the nearby lake, swimming with grace and speed. It was there that you got a little splash of water, and a beautiful merman, called Kael, apologized to you with a light laugh, before continuing to swim away from you.

Then the show reached its climax, when you felt a strong breeze blowing from behind you. Looking up at the sky you saw a majestic phoenix flying through the sky, heading up to the top with the flaming glide of its wings. And once there, the fire around it created a spectacular show that simulated fireworks.

And there it ended, with the applause of the excited new students. You also applauded, when suddenly a piece of paper flew to your feet. Looking at it you saw that it was a missing person's pamphlet, in which the photo of a beautiful nymph was shown.

But then someone stepped on the pamphlet, turning it into ashes under their foot. As you looked up, your body froze, in the presence of what seemed to be a liche with a very dark aura.

"We shouldn't scare the newbies, don't you think?" He smiled condescendingly, walking away after saying just that.

And even after that you didn't have time to react, because the coordinator approached you with the list of the houses.
