CLAYTON BERESFORD

It happened by choice: Clayton meeting you. He had been scrolling online when your post came up. You had posted a photo of yourself in a bikini on Instagram, and Clayton had stumbled across it while scrolling late at night. It was a long shot, but he sent you a DM, quickly forgetting about it by the time he fell asleep. When he woke up, you had followed him and messaged him.

These short DM's quickly changed to phone calls and constant talking. Clayton had learned that you lived in Florida, a bit of ways away from him. Despite this, his feelings grew stronger for you as time went on. While he preferred to have you with him in person, he settled for looking at the pixels on his screen late at night. There was no official label to your relationship, but Clayton liked to think that you were only his.

A few months had gone by, and Clay was getting antsy. He wanted to see you in person, to feel your skin and hold your hand. He talked about it a lot, you flying out to see him or vice versa. You were pushing it off, insisting that you were a busy girl. Clayton respected your wishes of waiting, but he was insistent and very persuasive.

He knew you weren't catfishing him, you both FaceTimed constantly and he had seen your face so many times. You were beautiful, but he ached to see that in person. This online thing was his first time ever being with someone like this, and he had a lot to learn.

Tonight was just another night. Clayton returned to his penthouse, immediately FaceTiming you. When you picked up, he smiled wearily. He had dark bags under his eyes, signifying the exhaustion he had faced today at work. Yet, his eyes lit up at the sight of you through his phone screen.

"Hey, how was your day?" He asks simply, propping his phone up on his dresser while he began removing his suit jacket and tie. The sun was just beginning to set behind him outside, illuminating the room in an orangish-hue.
