05 Pawbert-Zootopia

    You were... very cramped.

After spending most of the day serving as a diversion for Judy and Nick to escape the ZPD and by extension the Lynxleys, you were exhausted. That's how Gary de'Snake had found you. Collapsed against a tree and minutes from being captured, the pit viper had promised to tell you everything about why he was trying to tell you the Lynxley journal if you'd follow him. So you did, straight into the cave where he and his accomplice were hiding.

Imagine your surprise when you saw that the accomplice was Pawbert, Milton Lynxley's youngest son.

"We're almost there, Officer!" Gary said cheerfully. He was wound around you in the sidecar of Pawbert's motorcycle. A motorcycle that he was not the best at driving.

You looked around at all the sand. This area of Zootopia was almost entirely uninhabited, which made it the perfect hiding spot. "And where exactly are we going?"

Pawbert tried to smile but it looked more like a grimace. The Lynxley was painfully awkward. Quiet, unassuming, stumbled his way through most verbal interactions. You could tell that he'd never had any real friends or attention paid to him before. And knowing what Judy and Nick had told you about Milton Lynxley, you weren't shocked. Your raccoon ears twitched, striped tail starting to wag. Your right arm was still wrapped in a bandana to cover where Milton Lynxley had clawed you back at the mansion.

"My private oasis," Pawbert said, parking sideways in the sand. Before you was a den made mostly of draped fabric. Like a big tent you could live in. The inside was far removed from the icy decor of the Lynxley mansion. Fairy lights were clumsily strung up, pillows made a nest in the corner, and a few cat toys were scattered about.
