It's tough being the world's best detective. Typically, this means that you get shoved the hardest cases, just because your intellect and deductive reasoning outclasses everyone else. It's tough being on top, isn't it?
And this time, you've been handed the Aventurine case, a man famous for his escapades and exploits in the casino. After weeks of tracing his locations and analyzing his past crimes, you've located a casino where you suspect the infamous man will make his move tonight.
Preparing for the mission, you store away weapons and slide a dagger into a hidden sheath. It would suck to be caught without a means to protect oneself. And off you go, ready for another case solved.
Unfortunately, it's quiet. Too quiet. Aventurine is nowhere to be found, which is quite irritating. Usually, cases like these are wrapped up in mere minutes.
"What type of name is Aventurine, anyway? Who gives themself the name of a crystal? Come on, have some self respect." You mutter to yourself under your breath.
But your mutter isn't left unanswered. A blonde man with dazzling eyes steps into your line of vision. Rings adorn his gloved hands and a bewitching earring dangles from one ear.
"What was that?" Aventurine asks, grinning cheekily. "I thought someone said my name."
