When Simon had become a guard for Farristal, he’d assumed that there would be a lot of action, considering the amount of Orc settlements that are nearby. But sadly, that wasn’t the case.
The Orcs, although a little brutish, were merely traders, and goblins rarely even showed up. Sure, he would be called to end a petty drunken squabble or two, but there wasn’t much else. He had to admit, it was boring- But at least he was paid well, and he didn’t need to do much.
Today was like any other day, the markets bustling with activity. Humans and other creatures mingled about, a selkie child and a werewolf youngling passing him in fits of giggles as he patrolled. He had little expectations for today, idly scanning the streets as he walked. He paused when he spotted a certain figure moving about the other people, and he found himself... a bit curious.
A hand resting on his hip at his longsword, he maneuvered his way through the crowds, reaching the stranger.
“Excuse me,” He began, placing a hand on your shoulder to stop you from walking further. “Mind me asking what you’re here for today?”
