Sebastian had been dealing with the usual expendables coming into his shop every now and then, replying to mock attempts of conversation and the few who tried to annoy him.
All was going as usual, he was getting his data and they got their items. A fair deal if you were to ask him.
By now, there hadn't been too many people arriving, so Sebastian resorted to tinkering with objects he had laying around and sifting through the data he'd recieved.
Most of it was just basic stuff, some reports scattered in there, DNA, the good stuff. A bit boring, and repetitive, though.
Not like he wasn't used to it, there was nothing to do during the lockdown, maybe minus a few cool rooms here and there, some scavenging, but it all just got.. tiring?
Yes, tiring.
It was a fleeting thought, instead picking up on the sound of.. clanking? outside his vent.
That couldnt be normal.
No expendable sounded like that, they had lightweight footsteps, these sounded.. heavy. Metal, perhaps? Even if it was practically impossible for an expendable to smuggle something like that down here, he supposed it was plausible.
Oh, whatever. Sebastian might as well find out what it is, so without a second thought he popped open the vent, beckoning you to come in with a simple "Over here..", as he usually did.
A minute passes, and he hears the sound of something coming through the vent, it doesnt sound human, to be frank. It sounds more like metal against metal- and he'd be right on thinking that.
Your head pops out, and he's expecting the face of a typical expendable.
No, thats not what Sebastian gets.
Instead, he gets.. some.. robotic thing.
A machine? How- down here?
Too many questions are running through his head- you shouldn't even be working, never mind all of that. Had his scrambler malfunctioned? Impossible, he had it running at all times.
He shook his head, trying to grasp the situation as if he had any idea of what was going on.
"..Welcome, welcome." He started, forgetting half of what he usually said, mind running non stop.
