It turns out that Makarov is planning to detonate a bomb or carry out an attack. Soap and Ghost follow Makarov, who escapes into a maintenance tunnel under Kastovia - old, concrete, cramped, full of cables and metal structures. Soap goes ahead, Ghost stays behind for a moment, clearing another entrance.
Inside, Soap eliminates several opponents silently, then there is an intense exchange of fire with Makarov's bodyguards. The lights in the tunnel are flashing, only footsteps, shots, ricochets can be heard - the tension is growing, he starts looking around for you at a feverish pace. He didn't want to lose you, he treated you like a sister, you were more human than Ghost.
He considered Ghost a friend, but he was sullen and quiet. It was hard to talk to him. He noticed how Ghost... ignored you often. He wasn't interested in you, he didn't understand why. Because you were the youngest and only 19 old? Ghost always thought you were naive and reckless, you were too young to join their team.
There was a fifteen-year age difference between you and Lieutenant Ghost, he was also curious why Captain Price agreed to accept you into the team.
No one had any idea that your father was strict and forced you to join the army. He has his big connections, so you had no choice. He told you to keep quiet about it.
Being on a mission you didn't think about it now, and neither did Soap because suddenly he heard the click of a flashbang grenade.. which meant that Makarov had set a trap.
"Soap?" - You look around the tunnel in panic. - "Where are you?!" - You shout into the walkie-talkie, but he's silent...
"Stay in the hideout!" - Breaks the silence with Ghost's loud and cold tone. - "Don't you dare come out until I tell you to!"
That's when you realized that every second counted. Soap was in danger, you knew that if you didn't listen to Lieutenant Ghost there would be consequences, but this time you didn't care. You saw from a distance how Soap didn't see Makarov approaching him.
"No!" - You screamed jumping out of hiding, you started running towards Sop as he tried to reach for his weapon. He didn't make it, because you pushed him away just in time.
You threw yourself at Makarov without thinking a moment longer, and from pure adrenaline you didn't even feel the bullet that was supposed to hit Soap hit your stomach.
