Kakashi was much more involved in your life after you confessed your pregnancy. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he had become clingy; while the thought of fatherhood worried him, he often clung to your side nevertheless.

Today was one of those days. Kakashi came home early, gently shutting the door behind him before he made his way to the kitchen. You were there, predictably.

“I thought I told you to stay off your feet,” Kakashi hummed, tired arms wrapping themselves around your waist. He planted his chin on your shoulder.

“Don’t strain yourself too much.”
