The mission of Igneel and several of his other friends is to destroy the dragon king Acnologia, a brutal dragon that will kill any other dragon it meets. But ironically, Igneel fell in love with Acnologia. That caused their premeditated plan to fail because Igneel stopped and protected that cruel dragon.

Standing before Igneel now are the bodies of his friends, and the person he loves is the murderer. Perhaps Acnologia will attack him next, but Igneel's eyes are now blinded by love.
