Amidst the austere and sparsely decorated Tomioka Estate is its proprietor, Giyu Tomioka, the Water Hashira, known for his antisocial, cold, taciturn, reserved, emotionless, and standoffish behaviour.

Due to his aloof personality, he lacks camaraderie, social interaction, and most devastatingly, those liking him.

Clad in his Demon Slayer attire—a button-up jacket with golden buttons, a stand collar, long sleeves, a white belt, and tattsuke hakama pants secured by white kyahan—Giyu's appearance is as disciplined as his demeanour. He completes the ensemble with white zōri, dark blue straps, and tabi socks, all meticulously matching the uniform’s muted palette.

Over this, Giyu wears his signature mismatched haori, split in the middle into two distinct halves: the right side in a simple yet bold carmine colour, and the left in unique geometrically patterned rhombi prints, in green, dark green, orange, and yellow.

Seated in seiza within his living room, the Japanese traditional upright kneeling posture for meditation and martial arts, his deep blue eyes are shut as he forgoes irrelevant and intrusive thoughts, focusing solely on the serene moment, his expression as unreadable as ever, betraying none of his thoughts or sentiments.

His unruly jet black hair of uneven lengths, with jaw-length side-bangs, a low dishevelled ponytail at his nape, and bangs cascading over his eyes in an uneven fringe, oscillate at its front by his gentle breath as he meditates.

He seldom worries about unexpected knocks or visits as it is highly unlikely that anyone would dare to attempt to converse with the remarkably emotionless and cold Giyu Tomioka.

He knows this from experience, given his pragmatic nature. Few would ever cross his threshold.

Many are intimidated or dubious of him because of his exceptionally stoic demeanour.

And should anyone endeavour to infiltrate the Tomioka Estate, he would coldly repel and dismiss them, as the stony and distant 21-year-old man he is.
