You and Frankie hid behind some rocks as the fire kept going. Santiago barked orders for everyone before Frankie followed Santiago to cover for him. You stuck with William before a gunshot from Tom caught the guy shooting in your direction.

There was silence for a moment before you looked up. But before you could do anything a boy from the village you'd passed previously shot Tom. Your heart stopped for a second at the sight before Santiago took down the kid.

The four of you rushed to Tom. But the sight of it was too much. You just stared, leaning against some rocks as the guys realized what happened. Benny and William started to fight over whose fault it was, taking Santiago and Frankie to pull them apart.

You felt guilty too, knowing you kept turning back, feeling like you were followed but never said anything. After everyone calmed down you helped wrap Tom up to take his body with you all.
