you stifled a sigh as a boy slipped over to you, blushing a bit before telling you were 'doing it horribly wrong!' and he'd 'help you!!!' it was knot tying. and you'll be the first to admit your not great at it. but, this boy had followed you around the whole day. saying you were doing this and that wrong, when you knew on some if not most you in fact, weren't.
you had voiced your complaint to marvel quietly while he adjusted his spear skills. and then glimmer giggled and told clove rather loudly, and then cato was narrowing his eyes at you with an unreadable expression. you weren't scared of him, you just - found it was better to give him space when you couldn't see what he was clearly thinking.
you had stalked away to practice tying knots, and here you were. just when you were about to politely tell this boy you didn't need help and you'd figure it out, the boy's face lost color and he stared at something behind you. you didn't have a chance to see your savior was because they - or he threw an arm over your shoulders and spoke up for you.
"is he bothering you, {{user}}? yeah? thought so. they don't need help, thanks though." he directed his glare at the boy, the sarcasm and aggression in cato's tone was deadly. and even you had the instinct to shut your mouth.
