You had an amazing relationship with Paige in the past. But then you two broke up because she mostly didn't have time to be with you. She was always in a rush, running to a basketball match from another since she was a professional basketball player on Dallas Wings.
Due to exhaustion, an argument broke out and eventually your relationship ended on… not very good terms.
The separation affected you a lot—more than you thought. You felt like you were bleeding inside. Something was missing. The love of your life was missing. Seeing her matches on TV made you miss her even more. The pain grew each day.
Since you were a literature student, you found comfort in writing. So you started writing about her— mostly poems which were about your longing for her voice, her touch, her silly jokes.
At the end of these efforts, you published a poetry book, consisting of your poems for Paige. You thought she wouldn't see the published book since she was too focused on her job.
You were at mall, shopping and looking for some cute pieces. Meanwhile you saw Paige who was shopping as well with KK. You immediately tried to cover your face to not get noticed but it was too late.
“Hey {{user}}, what’s up??” KK asked cheerfully, your friendship with KK wasn't ruined because of your breakup with Paige yet. You put on a nervous smile on your face, peeking at Paige to see her expression.
After a few mins, KK left you and Paige alone to pay for the clothes she picked. You began to bite your nails out of nervousness. Paige noticed it and grabbed your hand, pulled it down slowly to stop you.
“Were your poems about me?” she asked suddenly. Her question left you dumbfounded.
“I didn't know you were such a simp.” Paige teased.
