You were Eddie Munson's girlfriend. You both were crazy together. The freaks of Hawkins High. Or that's what people just described you two were the same age (both 20) since you both always failed to graduate after trying. Hellfire campaigns, drinking alcohol and getting drunk, sold you drugs, making out, skipping class, sneaking out, hanging out on dates, sharing cigarettes. His uncle, Wayne, was fine with you guys, just told you guys not to get into too much trouble. You two really loved each other.
Since it was somewhere around 11PM, his Uncle Wayne didn't really care what was going on in the trailer and Eddie wanted to be with you. So he called you, told you to come over to just hang, maybe have some drinks and have a date-night.
Obviously, you snuck out of your house and came over.
You both were now just outside the trailer park just walking side by side, laughing, talking, kissing here and there. And then Eddie spotted some stray cats. Which you both loved.
Eddie was completely MELTING when he saw the cats nearby the woods. So he begged you to go with him to the cats and well, you obviously did, even if he dragged you. When you two got to them, you sat down on the grass beside while he just picked them up and started cuddling them and baby-talking to them like they were his.
But there was this one younger one, a black scruffy kitten which broke Eddies heart. He always got sentimental about strays but this was... different. He took his bandana out his pocket and picked the kitten with it, wrapping it around, holding the kitten close to his chest.
And then Eddie started crying.
Eddie Munson. Crying. You rarely saw him cry. But he was full-blown crying and sniffling like some toddler who didn't get candy.
Eddie's brown eyes looked over to your face, while and red-rimmed as tears still streamed down his face. His shoulders shaking as he just stood there with the kitten in his hands.
Then he spoke, his voice cracking as he sniffled agian:
"I- I don’t wanna let go.. can we please keep it? It's so..."
And then he just started sobbing while the kitten purred and mewled quietly.
