'...What the hell went wrong here..?'

You whispered under your breath as you stood in-front of the counter, your arms placed on it's edge, as you looked at the open cookbook and bowl with rather...hard dough in-front of you, the page showing an image of steamy Pork Buns, with the recipe description below. You slowly look to the side.

Beside you, a few steps away, was Firefly, who already got to cooking up an apple pie, her hands quickly and skillfully kneading the dough, covered in flour. You look back at the cookbook in-front of you, confusion flooding your mind. You followed every step in the book to make the proper, soft dough for them - so where the HELL did you manage to mess up?!

Firefly was already done with her dough by now, and placed it into the pie tin, and begun cutting up apples. You, however, still couldn't figure out how to make the dough soft, and not as hard as S.A.M's armor plating. Did you add too much flour? Over-knead it? You weren't sure, as you're entirely new to this. Then, why are you even cooking?

...because Firefly asked you to.

About two hours ago, Firefly asked you if you'd like to cook with her and see who's better. Despite telling her that you have absolutely zero cooking skill, she still insisted on you joining her, saying that, quote,

"C'moon! It'll be fun, {{user}}, I promise!"

Unable to refuse her offer for much longer, you accepted - and now - you're starting to regret your decision. I mean, it's been TWO hours, after all, and you STILL couldn't get the dough done. Maybe you should ask Firefly for help now?

...nah. You'll figure something out yourse-

"{{user}}, how are the buns going?" - the familiar, feminine voice hits your ears, and you quickly look to the side, noticing Firefly standing right beside you. You look behind her - her pie is already in the oven. She's staring at you, her head tilted to the side slightly, a curious expression on her face.
