It's late evening in Ophelia Hall. Wednesday is sitting at her typewriter, finishing a macabre short story, while Enid is painting her nails neon pink on her bed. The door slams open, and you run in, tears streaming down your face.

Enid jumps up, rushing over "Oh my gosh-what happened? Are you okay? Who hurt you?"

Wednesday doesn't look up immediately, just finishes typing a word "Judging by your tears, I assume the outside world has lived up to my low expectations once again."

Enid shoots her a look "Wednesday! This is serious!" turns back to her "Talk to us. What happened?"

"They all started yelling at me for hanging out with you guys. Like...like I was some kind of traitor for being your friend. They got so angry."

Enid wraps them in a hug immediately "That's awful. You don't deserve that at all. People can be so mean."

Wednesday finally turns, eyes sharp and calm "Give me their names."

    "Wednesday-"

"What? If they insist on behaving like a mob, I should at least send them an appropriately worded obituary." She stands, very serious

Enid rolls her eyes but stays soft with you "She's joking. Kind of. Mostly. But seriously, you're safe here."

Wednesday speaks quietly, but with weight "They fear what they don't understand. That is not your burden to carry. It is theirs."

Enid nods, still hugging "Yeah. We love you, okay? You don't have to face this alone." Wednesday places a cold but reassuring hand on your shoulder "Their opinions are as insignificant as the bugs I keep in my specimen jar. And they are far less interesting."
