    “I like you.”

It feels stupid, this felt very stupid actually, as if he was back in high school all over again experiencing having a crush first hand. And now at the age of twenty four, it feels like he’s back from the beginning — fidgety and preparing for the worst that could happen. Rejection? Well, it’s not as if he’s a stranger to it. He wasn’t exactly adept with communication and what comes after it, especially if it’s relating to a confession.

But right now, he feels somewhat more antsy. Would you turn him down and move on? Tell him you liked his best friend better, because it’s not as if it’s an uncommon occurrence, Kaiser has always been the better looking friend. At least, that’s what he thinks.

“I know it might sound sudden because we’re just temporary neighbors and eventually, you’d go back to your hometown. But I like you, very much. I think you’re amazing and—”

He cuts himself off, words dying in his throat. Shit, he’s rambling again.
