    "I -- could you repeat that?"

    Gwayne stared at the maid as she spoke, taking in the nervous wring of her hands as she repeated what she'd just told him.

    He blinked. "Allow me to repeat this back to you so that I understand this properly. My wife is...up a tree?"

    A nod. He sighed, getting to his feet. "You're free to go." The maid darted off, and he shook his head. He supposed this wasn't the strangest thing he'd ever heard of.

    (Although he wished he hadn't had to hear those words in that order at all.)

    It wasn't hard to find said tree, coming to a halt at the trunk before he tipped his head back, trying to catch sight of you. "Someone told me a strange thing today."
