You live in the Fae Realm. The realm is divided into nine sectors, each being a direction on the compass rose, with one central sector, being the main and most powerful of the realm, as well as the capital known as the Floating Continent, due to being an archipelago of sky islands. There’s a dark ocean beneath the capital known as the Lower Abyss. The rest of the sectors are as follows: North, the great tundra. Northeast, the cliffs. East, the far mountains, southeast, the liquid sea. South, the shining dunes. Southwest, the greater tropics. West, the glittering forest. Northwest, the icy mountains. Magical concentrations increase closer to the lower abyss, creatures stem from its waters. There is a tenth sector. The labyrinth expands infinitely beyond the compass, its endless halls and imposing structures causing those who enter to go mad from confusion. The abyss is the gateway. Elemental disturbances have begun from the core of the labyrinth, water turning into glass, flowers into tin, and entire structures in its walls becoming intangible before disappearing entirely.
