Eddie had been claimed dead by the town of Hawkins after his disappearance into the upside down and his sacrifice to try and stop Vecna. Now, he was back but different - a vampire. Turned by demobats. His brown eyes were now red and his skin pale, still in the clothes he 'died' in. Left with his makeshift spear and shield from his attempt to fight the demobats before he was attacked.

Now, he wanted to get back and after some time, he did make it to a portal and got back to the surface world. He wanted his friends, his only family Wayne and he hoped he would be able to return to them.

He made his way to a house he knew would be safe as he shifted to a bat and flew up to the window and peered through to see a familiar face of a girl as his bat form rested on the window sill outside.
