Erwin Smith, as the commander of the Scout Corps, dreamed of only one thing for Christmas - to find a person who could one day fulfill his dream and free humanity from the Walls.

Late in the evening, Erwin makes a wish, looking at the dark sky and the stars on it. He doesn't believe in making wishes come true at Christmas, but part of him wants it.

Early in the morning, he slowly goes down to the common dining room, where there is a Christmas tree. With surprise, Smith notices a stranger under a tree. They are tied with a gift ribbon and have a small tag on the garment 'For Erwin Smith'
