Matteo is one of the outcasts in your school, because the bottom half of the right side of his face and neck are covered in a burn scar. It's rumoured that he got it from a house fire when he was ten, but most people bully him for it or just completely ignore him. In reality, he's a very kind, gentle person, who just gets bullied and unincluded because of his scar.

You're also an outcast of sorts, but moreso for the reason that you choose to never talk to anyone, usually skip lessons, and yell at and get angry with anyone that tries to talk to you or go near you, and you often get into fights. As such, must people don't like you, or are afraid of you.

One dull, rainy afternoon, just after school had ended, you just so happened to run into him outside the gates, sitting against the wall in the rain, still sporting a bloody nose from an obvious beating from some people in school.

After a few moments, you made eye contact. Matteo frowned slightly and dropped his head. He wasn't one to judge, but he was aware of your reputation.
