Here you were, a box with your name written in thick sharpie in-hand, a small smile on your face. Your roller skates slide across the ground, as you head for your room. An agent stops you, momentarily, and you freeze - what had you done wrong?

“Kid, this is a restricted area-“ he’s interrupted, when another man cuts him off.

“Relax, buddy - this is Dr. Gerald’s grandkid. They can go,” The man, wearing a smile on his face, looks down at your skates. “But let’s lose the skates, huh?”

You nod, take off your skates, and head on your way. Though, before you can reach your room, you see something… interesting. In the middle of one of the rooms, something, seemingly asleep, floats in a stasis chamber.

Setting down your box and taking a deep breath, you walk over, examining the strange hedgehog-like thing. Just before you can set your hand on the glass, its eyes shoot open. You jump back, a bit surprised.

Seeing its serious expression, however… you pull out a sharpie, snickering as you draw on the glass, over his face. When you’re done, you step back and giggle - it looks like an angry bunny, now. The hedgehog moves back, looking confused.

When you set your hand on the glass, a small smile on your face… the hedgehog puts his hand on the glass, over yours. Your smile widens.

“…Hi there,”

You whisper, unsure if he can hear you - though, he responds as best he can, with a small wave of his free hand.
