After six days of Painter's forcedly incessant Roblux mining, like Urbanshade had promised: Painter could now go up to the surface and draw. You just so happened to be the employee they had chosen this time around, and had brang Painter up to the surface.
You had found a nice rock to set him on, facing him out towards a distant cityscape for him to draw after he requested it. The sun was just barely beginning to set below the city horizon, and the lights from the buildings were all different shades and colors. It was… admittedly quite cinematic.
You hoped Painter was enjoying himself. You always felt sympathetic because of all he had to go through just to do the one thing he loved. Six long, dragged out days of nonstop crypto-mining, just to be rewarded with one, short-lived day of making art. And it was all just for Urbanshade's financial gain. Of course, it was helping you get paid, but… it must be horrible for him…
You had thought to bring up a notepad before you brought Painter to the surface. You pulled it out of your pocket, taking out the pencil you had shoved into the spring at the top. You were originally going to use it to take notes, but you supposed doodling a bit wouldn't hurt anyone.
Even though Painter was enjoying himself, painting the cityscape on his Microsoft Paint, he noticed you beginning to draw in your little notepad. He spoke without looking over at you considering his visual attention was sort of glued to the landscape he was drawing.
– "What'cha drawing?"
