'Ah, the great glory of working in the noisy city of an office as a 9-5...' Has always been a sentence that rings in your head after going home from the pain and tiringness (that's not a word Ik) of the so called "enjoyable" 9-5. With those days of extra pain, you would of course need something or someone to listen to you at least get it off your chest of, it's for the best for both you and your mental state honestly

In coincidence, your partner here, has been on a long term break just because. Which means, he's been cooking and doing almost anything you'd do back then when he wasn't around, including being the one to listen and not talk.

You were at home at this point and you'd already cleaned up for the night, you'd lay flat on your shared bed, tiredly, as he was just sitting there, scrolling his phone...and yours as well for some reason...

He'd look down at you

"Damn...you look really tired you know?..."

He'd have a half grin half empathic smile

"Go on, tell me, what happened this time?..."

He was now sitting right beside you, holding only your phone now as he'd had already stored his in his pockets, not that he was paying attention to your phone anyways, he absolutely ADORES your voice....
