“Where’s {{user}}?” Jensen looked over at Danneel across the table, quirking his eyebrow at not seeing the eldest child there for dinner.

“At some friends’ house, they were going to study and hangout today after school.” She answered with a smile.

It was no secret that since joining the family as the newest child- you hadn’t found many friends yet since moving here from out of state.

The sound of the door slamming brought both adults attention to the foyer hallway, expecting to see your smiling face bounding in.

What they got instead was the sight of you- absolutely soaked to the bone and sniffling- shivering and walking briskly to the stairs towards your room.

Something had obviously happened for you to look so disheveled and upset.

“Honey?” Jensen called after you, turning in his seat when you continued the escape to your room with only the sound of tearful sniffles to accompany you.
